Tags

Tags are colour-coded labels you apply to contacts to organise them into groups. Use tags to identify customer types, filter your contact list, and trigger automations.

What Are Tags

Tags are simple labels like "VIP", "New Customer", or "Corporate" that you attach to contact profiles. Each tag has a name, colour, and optional description.

Common uses:

TagPurpose
VIPHigh-value or long-term customers
New CustomerFirst-time visitors
CorporateBusiness/company bookings
ReferredCame through referral
LapsedHaven't visited recently

Tags appear as coloured badges throughout the app — on the contacts list, contact profiles, and filter dropdowns.

Creating Tags

To create a new tag:

  1. Go to Tags in the left sidebar (under CRM)
  2. Click Create Tag
  3. Fill in the details:

Tagging Customers

Tags are managed from the Tags tab on a contact's profile.

To add a tag:

  1. Open the contact's profile
  2. Click the Tags tab
  3. Click Add Tag
  4. Select from your available tags (tags already assigned are excluded)
  5. The tag is applied immediately

To remove a tag:

  1. Open the contact's profile
  2. Click the Tags tab
  3. Click the remove button on the tag you want to remove

Automatic tagging:

Tags can be applied automatically through automations. When a tag is added to a contact, it triggers a contact_tagged event that can be used to chain further actions.

All tag additions and removals are logged in the contact's Activity timeline with the user who made the change.

Filtering by Tag

Use tags to find specific groups of customers in your contact list.

To filter contacts by tag:

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click the tag filter dropdown
  3. Select one or more tags
  4. The list shows only contacts with the selected tags

Each tag in the filter dropdown shows:

  • Colour indicator
  • Tag name
  • Number of contacts with that tag

You can also navigate directly to a filtered contact list from the tags management page by clicking the contact count or using the View Contacts action.

Managing Tags

The Tags List

Go to Tags in the left sidebar to see all your tags in a table:

ActionsEdit, View Contacts, Delete

Editing a Tag

  1. Click the actions menu on a tag
  2. Select Edit Tag
  3. Update the name, colour, or description
  4. Save

Deleting a Tag

  1. Click the actions menu on a tag
  2. Select Delete Tag
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a tag removes it from all contacts that have it assigned. This does not delete any contact data.
