Campaigns
Campaigns let you send email messages to groups of customers — promote a new service, share a special offer, or re-engage lapsed customers. Target specific segments using tags, booking status, or booking history.
Campaign Types
Syntra supports three campaign types:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Immediate | Send to all recipients right away |
| Scheduled | Send at a specific future date and time |
| Sequential | Multi-step drip campaign with delays between steps |
Sequential Campaigns
Sequential campaigns send multiple emails over time. Each step can have:
- A different email template
- A configurable delay from the previous step (minutes, hours, days, or weeks)
- An optional specific date/time override
Example: A welcome series for new customers:
- Step 1: Welcome email (sent immediately)
- Step 2: Tips & tricks email (sent 3 days later)
- Step 3: "Book again" reminder (sent 7 days later)
Creating a Campaign
To create a new campaign:
- Go to Communication > Broadcasting in the left sidebar
- Click Create Campaign
- Enter a campaign name and optional description
- Choose the campaign type (Immediate, Scheduled, or Sequential)
- Select an email template (or select templates for each step in sequential campaigns)
- Configure your audience (see below)
- If scheduled, set the date and time
- Preview your recipient count
- Click Launch to send (or save as draft)
Campaigns use your existing email templates from Communication > Templates. Create the template first, then select it when building your campaign.
Selecting Your Audience
Choose who receives your campaign using segment filters:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| All Contacts | Everyone in your contact list |
| By Tags | Contacts with specific tags (multi-select) |
| By Booking Status | Contacts with bookings in a specific status |
| Has Bookings | Contacts who have bookings (with optional date range) |
| No Bookings | Contacts without any bookings |
Booking status options:
- Confirmed
- Pending Payment
- Abandoned
- No-Show
- Completed
- Rescheduled
- Cancelled
Recipient preview:
As you adjust your filters, a live preview shows the number of matching recipients. This helps you refine your audience before sending.
Contacts who have opted out of communications are automatically excluded from all campaigns, regardless of your filter settings.
Campaign Analytics
After launching a campaign, track its performance:
Metrics tracked:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Emails | Number of emails to send (recipients × steps) |
| Sent | Successfully queued for delivery |
| Delivered | Confirmed as delivered |
| Failed | Failed to send |
| Progress | Percentage of emails sent |
Calculated rates:
- Delivery rate — Delivered / Sent
- Failure rate — Failed / Sent
View analytics from the Analytics tab on the broadcasting page. You can view aggregated stats across all campaigns or drill into individual campaign performance.
Managing Campaigns
Campaign Statuses
| Status | Colour | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Grey | Saved but not yet launched |
| Active | Green | Currently sending or scheduled |
| Paused | Yellow | Temporarily stopped |
| Completed | Blue | All emails sent |
| Cancelled | Red | Manually cancelled |
The Campaigns List
The list shows each campaign with:
- Name
- Type (Immediate, Scheduled, Sequential)
- Status badge
- Recipient count
- Progress (sent / total)
- Created date
Pausing and Resuming
Active campaigns can be paused and later resumed:
- Pause — Stops sending further emails (already-sent emails are not affected)
- Resume — Continues sending from where it left off
This is useful if you spot an error or need to adjust something mid-campaign.
Deleting
Only draft campaigns can be deleted. Active or completed campaigns remain in your history for reference.
